In addition to the high performance projectile, this product utilizes a nickel plated case which helps with smooth cycling and is highly visible for quick chamber checks.

Common Questions

What does +P mean?

The +P designation basically means that it is higher pressure than standard loads.

What is the difference between 9mm +P and 9mm?

9mm +P will have a slightly larger powder charge than standard 9mm. This helps the projectile achieve greater velocities and is the reason why 9mm +P has higher pressure than standard 9mm.

Is it ok to shoot +P through my firearm?

Yes, in modern firearms only. Modern firearms can shoot +P ammunition with no additional safety concerns. Since +P is a higher pressure load, it can cause increased wear on certain parts; mainly the recoil spring. The additional parts wear will only be noticeable if you shoot hundreds of rounds of +P ammunition.

All modern fire arms are proof tested by the manufacturer to ensure a firearm is safe when fired. Proof test loads can have 25% more pressure than even a +P load. If you own a modern firearm made by a reputable manufacturer, the proof tests demonstrate that 9mm +P is just as safe as standard 9mm. We do not recommend 9mm +P in old / vintage firearms (Don’t shoot +P through a Luger or anything alike).
