Norma 77 Grain 223 utilizes an Open Tip Match (OTM) projectile. It is similar to the MK 262 load used by the U.S. military. With a high velocity, low drag projectile, this product is ideal for precision target shooting and small game hunting. During the evaluation process for Norma 77 Grain 223 OTM, we measured its performance using two different 5.56 barrels. We consistently hit steel targets at 500 yards with a 16” 1/9 twist CHF barrel. Testing for accuracy, we used an 18” 1/7 twist Douglas barrel and achieved 1” inch groups at 100 yards.
